The Fog Rolls In

In a moment fogs rolls in

And the sunset I rushed out

The door and ran to catch

The 38 rapid tricked us

A thick mist not unlike the

Steam which hid us from the

Voyeur eyes fogging those

Stained glass tiles in your shower

Where I tasted suds against

Your bare skin

When I couldn’t stop myself

Kissing you

And I couldn’t stop myself

Laughing at your drops

So thank you to the fog

And to the steam and to

Your bedroom walls

For that little Eden

That we could find in

Booths at karaoke nights

So I’m not upset

When the sun disappears

And I know if I paddle hard enough

I can catch you on the other side

Of the break
